Wine stoppers seal out air from an opened wine bottle to prevent oxidation of the wine. They also provide a platform to show a beautiful piece of wood that has been turned into an attractive shape on the lathe. Sometimes I add semiprecious gems to my turnings to enhance the beauty of the wood.
