Betel Nut Vessels

Betel Nut Vessels

The betel nut grows on a palm tree in SE Asia. The nut is very hard, and as you can, has some unusual veining. The nuts are only about 1" in diameter. You can see a dime in the background to get an idea of the scale. The lids are ebony and have a snap fit.
